Francisco Tomsich writes and publishes since 2002 literary texts, essays on arts and literature and translations (from English, German, French, Portuguese, Slovene and Swedish) in journals, collective books, anthologies and magazines from Argentina, Brazil, Germany, Great Britain, Israel, Mexico, Slovenia, Uruguay and U.S.A. Between 2007 and 2014 he was part of the staff of the weekly journal Brecha (Montevideo, Uruguay). Since 2014 he integrates the editorial board of the magazine MUSEO (Museum of Contemporary Art of Montevideo). He was the editor of .TXT, a Montevideo-based digital magazine of young literature from the Southern Cone and beyond (2005-2006, 2011-2012, 2017-2018). He has edited, designed and illustrated numerous books, artist’s books, photobooks and web projects and collaborates with the publishing house Malinc (Slovenia). He has written numerous songs for musicians and composers. In 2012 he was awarded with the National Prize for Literature from the Ministry of Culture of Uruguay.
